Chuck Beck – BCRF Executive Director
A Washington State resident since 1984, Chuck Beck is a graduate of Cal State Los Angeles. He holds a Certificate in Non-Profit Fundraising Management from the University of Washington.
Chuck comes to the Burned Children Recovery Foundation after having met BCRF Founder and President, Michael Mathis at a benefit auction for the Sedro Woolley Fire Department. In the process of getting to know Michael and the work the BCRF is doing, he decided to take on the position as Executive Director.
Chuck is also a professional fundraising auctioneer and is a former President of the Washington Auctioneers Association. He holds the Benefit Auctioneer Specialist Designation (BAS) and has conducted benefit auctions for a variety of non-profit organizations throughout Washington State.
Chuck spent 24 years working on the staff of two different state legislatures and nearly three years as a Legislative Analyst for the Snohomish County Council.
Previously, Chuck worked with children as a school teacher and also served as a high school principal.
Chuck and his wife, Lourdes, have four grown children and four grandchildren. Lourdes is a Senior Tax Advisor with H&R Block.
Active in his community, Chuck serves of the advisory board of his church and is on the board of directors of the Washington Landlord Association.
